Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Tap Track account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page describes what gets deleted, what we retain, and how to make the request. Tap Track is published by Taptrack LLC.

What gets deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we remove:

  • Your account record (name, email, phone, password and passkey credentials).
  • Your profile information.
  • Photos, videos, and annotations you uploaded.
  • Your time entries, NFC scans, and clock-in records.
  • Form submissions and field notes you authored.
  • Your project memberships and role assignments.
  • Push-notification tokens registered to your devices.

What we retain and why

Some information is retained after account deletion to comply with legal and contractual obligations:

  • Audit logs and security records — retained for up to 7 years to support compliance and security investigations.
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics — does not identify you and may be retained indefinitely.
  • Financial and tax records — retained for the period required by applicable law.
  • Records subject to legal hold — retained until the hold is released.

How to request deletion

You can submit a deletion request in either of two ways:

  • From within the mobile app. Open Tap Track on your iPhone or Android device, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, and follow the on-screen prompts. This is the recommended path for Apple App Store and Google Play users.
  • By email. Send a deletion request to production@taptrack.io from the email address on file for your account. Include your account email and the name of your organisation. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.

Timeline

We acknowledge deletion requests within 72 hours of receipt and complete deletion of active account records within 30 days. Encrypted backups that may contain residual copies of your data are purged on a rolling cycle within 90 days of your deletion request. If your account is subject to a legal hold, an active dispute, or other circumstances that require us to retain records longer, we will notify you and explain the reason.
